Eastern Station

Az Eastern Station a harmóniát kedvelő, a zene, és a szöveg egységére egyaránt odafigyelő közönséghez szól. Dalaik valódi értékként a muzikális harmónia megélésének tapasztalatát nyújtják a közönségnek: extrémitások, fölösleges show-elemek nélkül, nem mellőzve a mindenki által megélt társadalmi problémák esetenként ironikus kiemelését.
A zenekar egyik fontos célja volt, hogy eddigi legértékesebb dalait a tőle megszokott békés, ám elgondolkodtató zenei stílusban és hangzásvilágban, összefoglaló kiadványban jelentesse meg.
A „Bizalom” című, első lemezük olyan produkció, amelyben az akusztikus zene lehetőségeit, sokszínűségét használták ki, bátran merítve a legkülönfélébb zenei korszakok és stílusok eszközeiből.
Majdnem minden egyes dal más és más zenei világ jegyeit hordozza, mégis egységes, szépen hangzó anyagot tartunk a kezünkben. Az Eastern Station szeretettel és megkülönböztetett gondossággal nyúl vissza a közelmúltba, Kosztolányi Dezső Vakarcs István Pál által megzenésített versének átdolgozása, avagy az egykori Garabonciás együttes Csutak István által írt dalának új gúnyában történő felelevenítése, igazi csemege.
A stúdiómunkák, felvételek a ma már nem túl szokványos „együttjátszós” módon történtek, ezáltal is koncert-közeli élményt nyújtva a hallgatónak.

The music of Eastern Station sounds for the public addicted to the harmony of both sounds and lyrics – and nevertheless to those addicted to the blend of these two. One of the aims of the band was, for a long time, to compile their most important pieces to-date into one comprehensive acoustic edition.
Their songs and performances are meant to convey the experience of smooth acoustic musical harmony towards the listener, engaging into moments of peak without incomprehensible exacerbation.
Eastern Station’s “Trust”, at its first edition, is the album where the band turns all the aims of acoustic instrumental sound and its timeless opportunities into a reality of their best – sometimes even pointing on social problems or phenomenon common to the Eastern European world of current times.
Eastern Station uses the well and tools of many different musical styles and ages to take the auditorium through their very delicate world. They have an expressed thought-, and respectful way to reach back into nearly-passed dimensions, and by re-actualizing sights of respected (at their times) poets and composers of the latest Hungarian Century, they let the auditorium dive into a world which might have been unfaithfully forgotten. Eastern Station has decided for this release that two of their songs should appear in their native Hungarian language. Track #06 “Akarsz-e (Would You Be)” is repeated on track #08 “Would You Be” with their English lyrics felt proper, and an added air of percussion. In the same time, one of the songs (track #10 “Sárkánydal” ), only represented by he Hungarian sound version, has a direct, line-by-line translation in the attached booklet. One can browse “Trust” with the feeling that almost all of the songs might be representing a different musical conviction or trend label – and yet, holding this album in hands, it feels like having a new acquaintance: a complete and mature style which is now surely a landmark for Eastern Station.
